You've heard it said that where there is smoke, there is fire well that's not always true.
People can create smoke through gossip and slander, but you don't have to create fire by responding every time. So, how should you respond when others gossip about you?
*1. PRAY FOR THOSE THAT GOSSIP ABOUT YOU. (Matthew 5:44)*
While this could be difficult to do, this will help you to see the brokenness and pain that's causing them to attack YOU in the first place.
*2. STAY SILENT.* (Matthew 26: 63-63)
This is especially difficult because gossip works. There will be people who believe bad things said about you simply because they were said.
This will make it difficult to keep your mouth close. While there are *RARE TIMES WHEN YOU SHOULD SPEAK OUT.*
If you defend yourself, they will say you're gaslighting. If you explain yourself, they'll say you're manipulating. If you *STAY SILENT, THEY WILL CLAIM YOU HAVE NO DEFENCE.*
But at least if you stay silent, you won't give them any new material to twist.
*3. REMEMBER THAT GOD IS FOR YOU* (Romans 8:31)
While gossip and slander can do damage, there's nothing God cannot vindicate. He is for you. Therefore, no weapon formed against you shall prosper. (Romans 54:17).
It is *outstanding* to *be standing* with God.
If you lose respect for your Heavenly father, then you start to lose respect for your Earthly father! And once you start losing respect for your Earthly father, you have no respect for YOURSELF!
And when you have no respect for yourself, you start acting like a demon!
*IF YOU TAKE GOD OUT OF IT, LIFE CEASES TO EXIST.* If you remove the light, then you're left with *DARKNESS*
If you're standing for the truth in this generation, you have nothing to be ashamed of, and the forces of heaven are on your side.
Hold fast to and Boldly declare what you believe even when others are pressuring you to do otherwise.
*Stand strong against criticism, mockery, rejection, and gossip.*
Keep right Standards even when there are seemingly no consequences for abandoning them.
Let your beliefs and morals serve as a kept standard even when you're tempted with something that violates them.
