10 SIGNS YOU ARE GROWING IN THE ANOINTING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
A growing hunger for God is not measured only by how long you pray, but also by the sincerity of your desire to know and obey Him.

The true question is not only, “How much of God's power can I demonstrate?” but also, “How faithfully can I represent His heart, His character, and His purposes?”

TOPIC: *10 SIGNS YOU ARE GROWING IN THE ANOINTING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT*

Not every evidence of the anointing is manifested in power before people.

Some of the deepest evidence of spiritual growth is revealed in who you are becoming in the secret place.

The anointing is not merely about falling under power, prophesying accurately, healing the sick, or demonstrating spiritual gifts.

It is also about being transformed by the Holy Spirit, developing spiritual maturity, and becoming a vessel that God can trust.

*Here are 10 signs that you are growing in the anointing.*

*1. YOU ARE BECOMING MORE SENSITIVE TO THE HOLY SPIRIT*

Things you once ignored are beginning to matter to you.

You become more conscious of your motives, attitudes, conversations, and decisions.

You are learning to recognize the difference between your emotions, your desires, and the convictions of the Holy Spirit.

You no longer want to do something merely because you can. You want to know whether it pleases God.
_Scripture: Romans 8:14._

*2. YOUR HUNGER FOR GOD IS DEEPENING*

You are no longer satisfied with knowing about God; you desire to know Him more intimately.

Prayer becomes more than presenting requests, and the Word becomes more than material for preaching.

You begin to desire His presence even when there is no audience, no opportunity to minister, and no recognition to receive.

A growing hunger for God is not measured only by how long you pray, but also by the sincerity of your desire to know and obey Him.
_Scripture: Psalm 42:1–2._

*3. YOUR CHARACTER IS BEING TRANSFORMED*

One of the greatest signs of growth is that the Holy Spirit is working on the person behind the gift.

*Your pride is being confronted.*
*Your reactions are being corrected.*
*Your impatience is being exposed.*
*Your attitude toward correction is changing.*

You are learning that it is possible to possess spiritual gifts and still need character development.

The more you grow, the more you should see the fruit of the Spirit becoming evident in your life.
Scripture: _Galatians 5:22–23._

*4. YOU ARE LEARNING TO DISCERN WITHOUT JUMPING TO CONCLUSIONS*

Spiritual sensitivity is not the ability to suspect everything. It is the ability to perceive carefully, test what you perceive, and respond with wisdom.

As you mature, you begin to understand that not every dream is a divine message, not every unusual feeling is a spiritual warning, and not every thought should be announced as prophecy.

You are learning to weigh spiritual impressions rather than allowing every impression to control your decisions.

Maturity does not only increase perception; it also develops the discipline to test what you perceive.
_Scripture: 1 Thessalonians 5:19–21._

*5. YOU ARE BECOMING MORE OBEDIENT IN THE SECRET PLACE*

You are learning to obey God even when nobody is watching, applauding, or rewarding you.

You begin to understand that private obedience is just as important as public manifestation.

_Sometimes obedience means speaking. At other times, it means remaining silent._

_Sometimes it means moving forward; at other times, it means waiting._

Growth in the anointing is not merely about receiving more spiritual experiences. It is about becoming more faithful with the instructions you have already received.
_Scripture: John 14:15._

*6. YOU ARE BECOMING LESS DEPENDENT ON PUBLIC RECOGNITION*

_You can serve God without needing everyone to know your name._

_You can minister without constantly seeking validation._

_You can celebrate another person's grace without feeling threatened by it._

This does not mean you never desire encouragement or opportunities. It means your identity is no longer controlled by human applause.

The anointing is not a platform for proving your superiority. It is a stewardship entrusted to you for service.
_Scripture: John 3:30._

*7. YOUR PRAYER LIFE IS BECOMING MORE ALIGNED WITH GOD'S WILL*

Your prayers begin to move beyond personal advancement, material needs, and individual breakthroughs.

_You develop a greater burden for other people, the Church, your assignment, and the purposes of God._

_You may still bring your personal needs before Him, but your prayer life is increasingly shaped by surrender: “Lord, let Your will be done.”_

You begin to understand that prayer is not merely an attempt to persuade God to fulfill your desires; it is also a place where your desires are brought into alignment with His will.
_Scripture: Matthew 6:10._

*8. YOU ARE LEARNING TO HANDLE SPIRITUAL POWER WITH HUMILITY*

As you grow, you become more conscious of your limitations and your dependence on God.

_You stop treating spiritual gifts as proof that you are better than others._

_You become more willing to receive counsel, correction, and accountability._

You recognize that manifestations must be handled responsibly and that spiritual experiences should never become an excuse for manipulation, pride, or control.

The more you understand the responsibility of the anointing, the less you should use it to exalt yourself.
_Scripture: 1 Peter 5:5–6._

*9. YOU ARE DEVELOPING GREATER STABILITY DURING DIFFICULT SEASONS*

Spiritual growth does not mean you will never experience pain, confusion, disappointment, or spiritual dryness.

It means you are gradually learning not to abandon your convictions every time your emotions change or circumstances become difficult.

You learn to remain faithful when the heavens seem silent, to seek wisdom when you do not understand, and to hold on to God's Word without pretending that you have all the answers.

Your stability is not evidence that you never struggle. It is evidence that you are learning to walk with God through your struggles.
_Scripture: James 1:2–4._

*10. YOUR LIFE IS BECOMING A BLESSING TO OTHERS*

The purpose of spiritual growth is not to make you appear mysterious, powerful, or superior. It is to equip you to serve God and people more faithfully.

_Your words begin to bring wisdom._

_Your prayers become an expression of love._

_Your gifts are exercised for the benefit of others._

_Your presence encourages people toward Christ rather than making them dependent on you._

The anointing is not given merely for personal spiritual experiences; spiritual gifts are intended to serve and build up others.
_Scripture: 1 Corinthians 12:7._

*FINAL WORD*

You may be growing in the anointing even when you are not experiencing dramatic manifestations.

Perhaps your greatest evidence of growth right now is that you are becoming more teachable, more disciplined, more discerning, more obedient, and more committed to the truth.

*Do not measure your spiritual growth only by how powerfully you can minister. Examine how faithfully you live when ministry is over.*

*Do not pursue the manifestation while neglecting the transformation.*

*Do not seek the power of the Spirit while resisting the work of the Spirit in your character.*

The true question is not only, “How much of God's power can I demonstrate?” but also, “How faithfully can I represent His heart, His character, and His purposes?”

May the Holy Spirit deepen your intimacy with Him, refine your character, sharpen your discernment, and teach you to steward every gift with humility and love.

*LET US PRAY*

Holy Spirit, take me beyond spiritual excitement into genuine spiritual maturity.

Purify my motives, strengthen my obedience, deepen my discernment, and cultivate Your fruit in my life.

Teach me to carry every gift with humility and to use every measure of grace for the glory of Jesus Christ.

Let my private life sustain what I demonstrate publicly. In Jesus' name, Amen.
