TOPIC: *"WHAT RELIGION PRODUCES vs WHAT OBEDIENCE PRODUCES"*

Religion selects a day of worship such as Fridays for Muslims, Saturdays for the Sabbath people and Sundays for Christians. *BUT A RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD IS AN EVERYDAY AFFAIR.*

A Religious Spirit is a *Demonic spirit* sent to attempt to deceive and hide the truth of God’s Kingdom under *Religion*

Religion has never been a friend of Jesus. Remember, it was not the government who crucified Jesus, but the religious leaders.

Many people in the Church today are converts NOT disciples. Converts to a Religion called Christianity rather than disciples of our Lord Jesus Christ.

*What is Religion & Legalism?*

By Biblical definitions, it is man’s *attempt* to accomplish *by his works* what can only be accomplished through *Christ Jesus* with the help of the Holy Spirit.

Legalism says, “Do, and God will accept you,” while Faith says, “God has accepted me, so I am empowered to do”

*Galatians 2:20* says, “I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me”.

*The People that TRULY walk with God are NOT DISTINGUISHED BY Wealth or Status BUT BY WISDOM, PEACE, and LIGHT*

Don’t just ATTEND CHURCH every Sunday, BE THE CHURCH EVERYDAY! *LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE, EVERYDAY & EVERYWHERE YOU GO!*

The Church Jesus and his disciples built were PEOPLE, NOT BUILDINGS, hence Body of Christ. Buildings don’t have BODIES, People do!

*A CONVERT KNOWS THE TEACHINGS BUT DOESN’T LIVE BY IT, WHILE A DISCIPLE LIVES BY IT, BEARING MUCH FRUIT*

So, ARE you a Convert or a DISCIPLE? Convert to a RELIGION called Christianity or Disciple of our Lord Jesus Christ?

*Nor be who dey go church dey follow Jesus ooo, Na who REPENT and SURRENDER to HIS HOLY SPIRIT*

Spiritual authority is not transferred through prominence but formed through obedience in secret. God does not search our hearts to shame us, but to sanctify us.

You must get this right. Alot of people call a church that does not want to allow their people engage in the affairs of the world a "A Religious Church"

Meaning that they love the outward appearance of the cup, but do not care about the dirtiness inside. *Matthew 23:25*

They ATTEND CHURCH, but only to *SOOTHE THEIR GUILTY CONSCIENCE.* And appear religious.

Going to church has become a performance, a mask, a religious TRADITION without any TRANSFORMATION.

A show of HOLINESS that ends at the CHURCH DOOR.

*Many people have embraced a gospel that promises:*

“CROWNS” without “CROSSES“.
HEAVEN without HOLINESS.
BLESSINGS without BROKENNESS.

*But:*
NO CROSS, NO CROWN.
NO Death to self, NO RESURRECTION.
NO REPENTANCE, NO REDEMPTION.

*The Following are misconceptions people carry today:*

1. Their God is in the church building.

2. Church attendance means they are a saint.

3. Knowing about Jesus is equal to having their names in the Book of Life.

4. Trusting their pastor is the same as trusting God.

5. They believe doing church activities automatically pleases God.

6. They believe belonging to a particular denomination guarantees salvation.

7. They believe being baptized automatically makes a person born again.

8. They believe taking Communion automatically makes them right with God.

9. They believe giving money to the church guarantees God's favor.

10. They believe religious titles make a person spiritually important.

11. They believe wearing Christian symbols proves that they belong to Christ.

12. They believe hearing sermons is the same as obeying God's Word.

13. They believe knowing many Bible verses is the same as knowing God.

14. They believe their pastor's words can not be questioned or tested by Scripture.

15. They believe being around Christians makes them a Christian.

16. They believe miracles, signs, or spiritual experiences automatically prove that God approves of them.

17. They believe saying "Lord, Lord" is enough without doing the Father's will.

18. They believe their religious traditions have the same authority as God's Word.

19. They believe confessing to be a Christian is enough, even without living according to Christ's teachings.

20. They believe salvation is secured by religious membership rather than genuine repentance, faith, and obedience to Christ.

And in the end, all of them lack obedience to the word of God, which automatically makes the people a perfect fit into the religion title

James 1:22 (KJV):
“But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.”

“One way to know that someone is sinning is when they know what is good and right, but choose to stop doing it.”—not only by what someone does wrong, but also by failing to do what they know is right.
*James 4:17* (KJV):
“Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.”

It is time you examine yourself. You can not be born again because you grew up in a Christian family.
