TOPIC: *Divine Redirection Of Your Focus*

Many people come to Jesus without fully understanding what being his disciples means. There's a difference between a CONVERT and a DISCIPLE.

Too many preachers mislead people that following Jesus is all about blessings, prosperity, wealth, and protection.

As a result, *people decide to follow Jesus based on false promises of worldly benefits!* WHEN TRIALS AND TEMPTATIONS COME THESE PEOPLE WILL FALL AWAY BECAUSE THEY EXPECT A LIFE OF EASE AND ABUNDANCE, not the challenges that true Discipleship brings.

Sometimes, financial lack is God's way of redirecting your focus from what you want to what he wants for you. *WHICH IS USUALLY THE BEST FOR YOU*

True Success comes NOT through shortcuts and compromises, BUT through OBEDIENCE to God's plan.

*REMEMBER:* SUCCESS in the kingdom of God is NOT measured by your bank account, but by the depth of your alignment to HIS WILL.

So, *ARE YOU SUCCESSFUL?*

True Success comes NOT from fitting in with the crowd, but BY following the path that God has specifically designed for you.

Many of you are enduring financial struggles because God is turning your attention away from chasing worldly success to pursuing eternal significance.

The struggles you face financially are God’s way of saying, "My child, there's more to your life than the accumulation of wealth." *Read Colossians 3:2*

Sometimes, God uses financial hardships to clear your vision, wipe away distractions, and set your eyes on the higher calling he has for YOU.

You see, when money is flowing, it is easy to get caught up in material pursuits. But when the flow stops, suddenly your priorities shift. You start to ask, "Lord, what do you want from me?" And in that stillness, God begins to speak PURPOSE into your life.

Divine callings that have nothing to do with financial gain but everything to do with eternal rewards.

God may be allowing financial lack to reframe your priorities and push you deeper into ministry, serving others, or fulfilling a divine calling that transcends MATERIAL WEALTH.

*STANDOUT AND SHINE BRIGHTLY*

Many people try to follow Jesus on their own terms, but this is impossible. You must follow him on HIS TERMS. No shortcuts or compromise.

TRUE DISCIPLESHIP REQUIRES:

1. COMPLETE SURRENDER TO HIS WILL, WAY AND TIMING in all areas of your life.

2. Self-DENIAL.
3. Carrying Your Cross Daily.

Jesus never hid the cost of following him. He made it clear so that you can make an informed choice.

Jesus doesn't want anyone to follow him based on half Truths and false promises. *YOU NEED TO MAKE UP YOUR MIND TO NEVER GIVE UP REGARDLESS OF WHAT YOU WILL FACE.* To Focus on Jesus!

This means accepting whatever *hardships, rejection, or persecution* that will come your way because of your obedience to him.

*IF THE WORLD MOCKS YOU, MISTREATS YOU OR EXCLUDES YOU FOR STANDING FIRM IN YOUR FAITH, THAT'S PART OF THE CROSS YOU MUST BEAR*

Following Jesus means carrying that cross no matter how heavy or painful it may be.

*Luke 9:23-24* says : *23* Then he said to all, “If anyone wishes to come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily* and follow me. *24* For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it.

You've got to LOVE JESUS ABOVE EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING ELSE. *Read Luke 14:26* "If anyone comes to me and does not hate father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters—yes, even their own life—such a person cannot be my disciple."

*DO NOT LET ANYONE, OR ANYTHING OR ANY TRADITION LEAD YOU TO COMPROMISE, LEAD YOU AWAY FROM JESUS.* Not even your pastor, prophet, elders in church etc *even the Pope.*
