The lesson from grace is twofold: to say "no" to ungodliness and worldly desires, and to say "yes" to a self-controlled, upright, and godly life.

TOPIC: *REPENTANCE IS NOT WHEN YOU CRY. REPENTANCE IS WHEN YOU DECIDE TO CHANGE.*  -IT IS A CRY FOR HELP.

There are moments when we cry because we feel guilty. We may become emotional during worship, shed tears while praying, or feel deeply convicted when we hear the Word of God.

But tears alone are not the evidence of true repentance. True repentance produces a changed life. *THE HOLY SPIRIT POWERS THE CHANGE WHEN WE SURRENDER*

Repentance means turning away from sin and turning back to God. It is more than saying, “I’m sorry.” It is making a decision to leave the old ways behind and walk in obedience to God.

*You can cry over your sin and still return to it tomorrow.*

*You can feel convicted today and still refuse to change tomorrow.*

But when the heart truly turns to God, there will be a desire to change, obey, surrender, and live differently.

*The Bible says:*

<span;>> “Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance.”

— Matthew 3:8

Your repentance should produce fruit.

*If you used to lie, choose truth.*

*If you used to hate, learn to forgive.*

*If you used to live in bitterness, surrender it to God.*

*If you used to follow the world, begin following Christ.*

*If you used to live in secret sin, stop making excuses and seek God’s help to walk away from it.*

Repentance does not mean that you will never struggle again. It means you stop making peace with the sin that God is calling you to leave.

_Don't just cry—change._

_Don't just feel sorry—turn around._

_Don't just raise your hands in worship—surrender your life._

_Don't just say you love Jesus—follow Him._

God is not looking for perfect people. He is calling people with humble hearts who are willing to turn from their old ways and walk with Him.

*Today may be the day to stop making excuses.*

*Today may be the day to let go of the past.*

*Today may be the day to truly surrender.*

Repent. Return to God. Let Him transform your life.

A changed heart will eventually produce a changed life.

*GRACE DOES NOT TEACH INDULGENCE, GRACE TEACHES DENIAL*

Grace does NOT produce licentiousness. Grace produces RIGHTEOUSNESS.

Grace does NOT whisper compromise. Grace commands GODLINESS.

Therefore, anyone who claims grace but continues in Fornication, Adultery, Drunkenness, Clubbing, Filthy Entertainment, Covetousness, or Rebellion against God's word *IS NOT A POSSESSOR OF GRACE* But a PROFESSOR OF IT. (profess meaning claiming it with their mouths).

Romans 6:1-2 states that believers should not continue to sin because they have "died to sin" through their union with Christ.

The passage argues that since a believer has been spiritually united with Christ in his death, it is impossible and illogical to continue living in sin.

Verse 1: "What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?" This verse poses a rhetorical question asking if the abundance of God's grace justifies living a life of sin.

Verse 2: "God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?" The answer is a resounding "no," and the reason is that Christians are no longer under the dominion of sin because they have died to it, symbolizing a new, righteous life through Christ.

*TO CONTINUE IN SIN UNDER THE BANNER OF GRACE, IS EVIDENCE NOT OF SALVATION BUT OF DECEPTION*

Titus 2:11-12 states that the grace of God has appeared to offer salvation to all people, and it teaches us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions.

It further instructs believers to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, as this is a result of the grace of God working in them.

*God's grace brings salvation:* The passage begins by declaring that God's saving grace is available to everyone.

*Grace is a teacher:* This grace is personified as a teacher that instructs people on how to live.

*The teaching of grace:* The lesson from grace is twofold: to say "no" to ungodliness and worldly desires, and to say "yes" to a self-controlled, upright, and godly life.

*Living in the present age:* This teaching is to be applied to how believers live their daily lives in the current world.

*GRACE DOES NOT TEACH INDULGENCE, GRACE TEACHES DENIAL*

Grace does NOT produce licentiousness. Grace produces RIGHTEOUSNESS.

Grace does NOT whisper compromise. Grace commands GODLINESS.

Therefore, anyone who claims grace but continues in Fornication, Adultery, Drunkenness, Clubbing, Filthy Entertainment, Covetousness, or Rebellion against God's word *IS NOT A POSSESSOR OF GRACE* But a PROFESSOR OF IT. (profess meaning claiming it with their mouths).

They possess demons and are controlled by them. They have not received grace. HE HAS RECEIVED A LIE.

He may wear the name Christian, but *HE HAS NEVER BEEN BORN AGAIN.* For if any man be in Christ he is a new creature, old things are passed away, behold all things have become new. Read 2nd Corinthians 5:17.

Where there is No Newness, there is NO SALVATION.

Where there is No FRUIT of Holiness, there is NO ROOT OF GRACE.

If you have taken grace as a licence to sin, you are deceived.

If you continue in your worldly ways while professing the name of Christ, you are deluded.

REPENT!!! Before it is too late.

The grace you think you have is not grace but a lie. *RUN TO THE TRUE GRACE OF GOD THAT TEACHES HOLINESS, PURITY, AND GODLY LIVING*
