*KNOW AND GROW YOUR GIFTS* PART 22 of *I BELIEVE IN GOD vs I OBEY GOD | TO CHURCH vs TO GOD*
The reason you keep battling certain temptations is that THEY REVEAL YOU ANOINTING. Yes, read that again. Every temptation is an attempt to steal YOUR IDENTITY.
*Are you naturally talkative?* Then maybe you have the gift of speech to bring others to Jesus.
*Are you drawn to smoking or substances that damage your lungs?* Then maybe your VOICE WAS CREATED TO PRAISE. The Devil tries to destroy what's meant to USED IN WORSHIP.
*Do you struggle with self-doubt?* then maybe you were BORN TO LEAD BOLDLY.
*Are you're addicted to LUST?* Then maybe you carry a deep God-given capacity for *INTIMACY, COVENANT, and HEALING*
*Does REJECTION torment you?* Then maybe you were called to gather the outcast. So Satan makes you feel like an outcast.
*Are you obsessed with your parents?* Then maybe you were created to REFLECT THE GLORY OF GOD. Not chase the approval of people.
If you're facing certain opposition or have faced it in the past, know that your gifts can be used to the glory of God and then enemy (satan) tries to silence you from an early age before you realise your gifts.
*THE ENEMY ALWAYS PERVERTS WHAT YOU WERE BORN TO RESTORE*
Guard the gates! Your mind is the battlefield. *THE FLESH DESIRES WHAT IS CONTRARY TO THE SPIRIT* They are in conflict -Galatians 5 vs 17.
You DON'T stumble to spiritual victory. You SURRENDER TO IT DAILY. For all who are led by the spirit of God are SONS OF God - *Romans 8 vs 14.* That means who leads your day decides your destiny.
Not every thought or feelings that enters your mind is from God. Use your discernment. Test all spirits.
Here's the test:
*Does it contradict scripture?*
*Does it lead to peace or confusion?*
*Does it glorify Christ or feed the flesh?*
If it fails the test above, then evict it. *DO NOT ENTERTAIN IT.*
The Holy Spirit should be your closest friend, not your crisis manager. *Surrender your thoughts, words, emotions, and actions to the Holy Spirit daily in prayer.*
*THE WALK IN THE SPIRIT ISN'T ABOUT LOUD MOMENTS BUT SMALL DAILY CONVERSATIONS*
For example:
Lord is this opportunity from you?
Lord should respond to this text or email?
Lord, thank you for this moment.
The more you include him in the ORDINARY, the more you'd recognise him in the EXTRAORDINARY. Start today!
James 1:22 is a key New Testament verse telling believers to be "doers of the word, and not merely hearers who deceive themselves," emphasizing that genuine faith requires putting God's teachings into action, not just listening to them, or else one is self-deceived, like looking in a mirror and forgetting one's own reflection.
It stresses living out the "perfect law of freedom" (God's Word) through consistent, obedient action, which leads to blessings, contrasting it with superficial religious observance.
*YOU'RE NOT STUCK BECAUSE GOD ISN'T SPEAKING, BUT BECAUSE YOU HAVEN'T OBEYED THE LAST THING HE SAID.*
John 10:27 is a Bible verse where Jesus, speaking as the Good Shepherd, describes His relationship with His followers, saying, "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me".
So here's what your daily routine should look like:
1. START YOUR DAY WITH SURRENDER. Romans 8:14
2. TALK TO THE HOLY SPIRIT THROUGHOUT THE DAY. John 14 vs 26.
3. ACT ON THE LAST INSTRUCTION GOD GAVE YOU. James 1 vs 22.
4. DISCERN BETWEEN YOUR THOUGHTS AND THE VOICE OF SATAN.
