WHAT YOU BEHOLD, YOU BECOME: PART 14 of *I BELIEVE IN GOD vs I OBEY GOD | TO CHURCH vs TO GOD*
Many sincere Christians are bound by hidden chains that rob them of joy, victory, and freedom.
For generations, men and women of faith have been told to always see themselves as broken sinners, unworthy creatures crawling before a distant God. *THIS IS SIN CONSCIOUSNESS*
They rise each morning rehearsing their failures, and bow each night recounting their weaknesses. And in between they live under the constant shadow of guilt and accusation.
And yet, they call this humility. *But this IS NOT HUMILITY, IT IS BONDAGE*
For the one who is dominated by Sin Consciousness will never rise above the grip of sin.
*WHAT THEY BEHOLD, THEY BECOME*
What they confess they embody. And so, those who constantly say "I am just a sinner, I am nothing but a failure" inevitably *FALL BACK INTO THE VERY SINS THE ARE TRYING TO ESCAPE*
Proverbs 18:21 states that "Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit" (ESV).
This means the words people speak have the immense ability to create both destructive, life-ending consequences and beneficial, life-giving results for themselves and others.
Therefore, one must be mindful of their words, as they will ultimately experience the repercussions of the "fruit" their speech bears.
*THIS IS THE TRAGEDY OF THE MODERN BELIEVER, STANDING REDEEMED BUT LIVING LIKE A SLAVE*
They are bought with the blood of Jesus, yet dwelling in the prison of self accusation.
*WHAT IS THE ROOT OF THIS?* A Consciousness fixed on SIN, not on RIGHTEOUSNESS.
_Think about this:_ The very best you can produce in your own strength, the most sacrificial service, the most passionate prayer, the most radical acts of devotion, ALL OF IT! *WITHOUT CHRIST* IS UNWORTHY BEFORE A HOLY GOD.
_But the wonder of grace is this:_ God made him who knew no sin to be sin for us. That we might become the righteousness of God in him. 2 Corinthians 5:21.
*WE ARE NOT ACCEPTED BECAUSE OF WHAT WE BRING, BUT BECAUSE OF WHAT CHRIST HAS ALREADY ACCOMPLISHED*
This truth humbles the proud and liberates the weary. It means the Christian who stumbles in weakness but clings to Christ is safer than the religious man who stands tall in his own works! But is *NOT FULLY RESTED ON THE CROSS.*
It means that Holiness as "Performance" CAN NOT SAVE YOU! but Holiness as "Fruit" testifies that YOU'RE TRULY SAVED.
It means that Church Attendance, Fasting, Prayer, Bible Reading, Giving, and Service, "though noble and necessary *MUST NEVER BECOME THE FOUNDATION OF YOUR CONFIDENCE*
For the foundation has already been laid, and that foundation is *JESUS CHRIST* His death and resurrection! For no one can lay any foundation other than the one which is already laid, which is Jesus Christ. *1st Corinthians 3:11*
When you're born of the SPIRIT, you can not help but bear the fruit of *OBEDIENCE* .
*John 15:5* reminds us, "I am the vine, you are the branches. Those who abide in me, and I in them, bear much fruit, because apart from me you can do nothing".
*OUR LIFE OF PURITY, PRAYER, AND OBEDIENCE FLOWS FROM THE VINE, CHRIST HIMSELF!*

When the word of God is read without the HOLY SPIRIT, it can become cold, mechanical, or even burdensome. But when the Holy Spirit breathes on the word, it comes alive, piercing the heart, TRANSFORMING the soul.
