Ukrainian hackers to fight Russia in cyberspace
With a thriving technology scene, Ukraine was fast becoming a key hub in Eastern Europe and last year recorded its first "decacorns" - start-ups valued above $10bn (£7.5bn).

Guerrilla hackers in Ukraine will seek to fight Russia through cyber-attacks on infrastructure, according to the Reuters news agency.

Yegor Aushev, a Ukrainian cybersecurity expert, said he was approached by the defence ministry last week to organise a hacking group to target Russia and do "everything that might stop war".

"The goal is to make it impossible to bring these weapons to our country," he said.

Meanwhile, Western technology companies have pledged to look after their employees in Ukraine.

Uber has paused operations in the country and offered its Kyiv-based employees and families relocation to other parts of Ukraine or abroad.

And rival Lyft has offered financial support to those wishing to temporarily leave.

Online shoppers in Russia have found that Nike has made its products unavailable for sale by website or app.

A notice on Nike's website on Tuesday says that deliveries to the country cannot be ensured. It directed customers to visit their nearest retail shop instead.

The decision is the latest move by US companies to punish Russia for its invasion of Ukraine.

Ukrainian Member of Parliament Lesia Vasylenko tweeted that the new restrictions from Nike, as well as Apple and Amazon,"are great examples of how private companies can impose sanctions against" Russia.

One of the world's largest aerospace manufacturers is cutting ties with its Russian partners.

Boeing announced on Tuesday it would suspend all major operations in Moscow.

The US airplane maker will no longer provide technical support or maintenance, or parts, for Russian aircraft.

Energy firm ExxonMobil has announced that will discontinue operations in Russia and end further investments there.

The decision follows similar moves from Exxon's rivals, including Shell and BP.
