DELIGHT in OBEDIENCE: PART 10 of I BELIEVE IN GOD vs I OBEY GOD | TO CHURCH vs TO GOD
*A TRUE CHRISTIAN HAS BEEN BORN AGAIN, NOT REFURBISHED, NOT IMPROVED, NOT MODIFIED, BUT REBORN*

DELIGHT in OBEDIENCE: PART 10 of *I BELIEVE IN GOD vs I OBEY GOD | TO CHURCH vs TO GOD*

Obedience is NOT a prison sentence. *IT IS A PLEASURE TO THE ONE WHO LOVES JESUS*

If you love me, keep my commandments *John 14:15*

To be a Christian is not to obey out of DUTY but out of DELIGHT. Yes, the flesh may resist, but the spirit rejoices.

You begin to hunger for RIGHTEOUSNESS.

You long to PLEASE GOD.

Even when you stumble, there's a pull back to the altar. A longing to be restored.

*A CHRISTIAN IS ONE WHO CAN NO LONGER RUN FROM GOD WITHOUT LIMPING*

Sin becomes BITTER.

Conviction becomes SHARPER.

You CANNOT go long without prayer. You feel PARCHED.

You CANNOT live without SCRIPTURE. You feel LOST.

You CANNOT harbour UNFORGIVENESS. You feel SPIRITUALLY SICK.

THIS IS NOT LEGALISM.
THIS LOVE.
THIS IS LIFE.
THIS IS THE EVIDENCE THAT CHRIST HAS WRITTEN HIS LAW ON YOUR HEART

A DAILY Cross.
A DAILY DEATH.
A DAILY YES.

In *Matthew 16:24,* the phrase "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me" emphasizes the cost of following Jesus.

It means prioritizing God's will over personal desires, being willing to endure hardship and suffering, and actively imitating Christ's example in all aspects of life.

*THE CHRISTIAN LIFE IS NOT A ONE TIME PRAYER. IT IS A LIFELONG SURRENDER*

Every day you wake up, you face a choice,

SELF or CHRIST?
FLESH or SPIRIT?
YOUR WAY or HIS WAY?
YOUR WILL or HIS WILL?

To be a Christian is to say NO TO YOURSELF a thousand times a day!

No to PRIDE.
No to REVENGE.
No to LUST.
No to EASE.
No to WORLDLY PRAISE.

*And with every NO TO SELF comes a deeper YES TO JESUS!*

Yes to HUMILITY.
Yes to PURITY.
Yes to TRUTH.
Yes to the hidden place of PRAYER.
Yes to the WILL OF THE FATHER.

A new IDENTITY.
A new MISSION.

*A TRUE CHRISTIAN HAS BEEN BORN AGAIN, NOT REFURBISHED, NOT IMPROVED, NOT MODIFIED, BUT REBORN*

The phrase "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, the new has come" is from 2 Corinthians 5:17.

It signifies a transformative experience in Christianity where, through faith in Christ, a person's old life, characterized by sin and separation from God, is replaced by a new life, marked by new identity, purpose, and relationship with God.

This new creation is a result of God's reconciling work through Jesus Christ.
