Do not mistake God's faithfulness for the impossibility of human rebellion.
TOPIC: *ETERNAL LIFE vs EVERLASTING LIFE: Can Salvation Be Lost?*
CIC77: *CELEBRITY IN CHRIST EPISODE 77*
*Everlasting life* is the *Quantity* of life; it means your existence never ends. *Eternal life* is the *Quality* of life; it describes the divine, joyful nature of a personal relationship with God.
*Salvation is God's eternal gift, but abiding in Christ is man's continual responsibility.*
Eternal life is found in the Son of God(Jesus Christ) —not in a past profession divorced from a present relationship with Him.
The Holy Spirit teaches the things that we did not even know that we are good at. HE KNOWS US MORE THAN WE KNOW OURSELVES. He is the manufacturer.
The only way you're going to figure out your hidden talent and multiple talents is by getting closer to God.
The manifestation of your DESTINY doesn’t take TIME. It takes ENCOUNTERS WITH GOD(The Father) through the HOLY SPIRIT.
You need the Holy Spirit to understand the Bible, not a prophet/pastor. There is no pastor, no prophet, no teacher, and no church denomination that should be your place of dependency. NO SPIRITUAL FATHER REQUIRED, except the Holy Spirit.
*DEPEND ON JESUS WITH THE HELP OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.*
A Pastor can be a TOOL, but the Holy Spirit remains the SOURCE/TEACHER/COMFORTER. Just like money is a TOOL but God remains our PROVIDER/SOURCE/SUSTAINER.
For example the israelites were fed with MANNA FROM HEAVEN in the Wilderness, NOT MONEY. GOD USED MANNA AS A TOOL INSTEAD OF MONEY
*THIS IS WHY YOU SHOULD START A DAILY PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD, BECOMING TRANSFORMED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT*
While everlasting life focuses on your timeline stretching to infinity(in heaven), eternal life focuses on the rich experience of living right now in the KINGDOM OF GOD (While we are alive on earth).
*Remember in the lord's prayer we pray, "Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven"*
Those who fixate on salvation only see hope in the next life. One result of this salvation fixation is that they tend to be enamoured with the end of the world and obsess about signs of the end times.
But: *IF THERE'S NO ETERNAL LIFE ON EARTH, then THERE'S NO EVERLASTING LIFE IN HEAVEN*
Jesus gave us an assignment to make a difference in our world today by bringing God's Kingdom to earth so His will is done here as it is in heaven.
When you ask most believers what the gospel of Jesus is, they will tell you about the provision Jesus made for us to go to heaven when we die instead of spending eternity in hell.
While that is indeed good, it is far less than the gospel of the Kingdom that Jesus preached. Salvation is simply the doorway into the Kingdom of God. But the Kingdom is much bigger.
*The Kingdom Of God is our path to freedom from this world's cursed system and the hope we should be preaching to a suffering world.*
This Kingdom of God is here, now. We can enjoy all the benefits of God's Kingdom today. We don't have to wait until we step into eternity to enjoy the goodness God has already given us through Jesus.
Enjoy ETERNAL LIFE IN CHRIST here and now, and EVERLASTING LIFE IN HEAVEN later.
There are 4 STAGES OF SPIRITUAL GROWTH:
1. *Natural* (Lost) needs SALVATION.
2. *New* (Saved but immature) needs GROWTH.
3. *Carnal* (Saved but fleshly) needs CORRECTION.
4. *Spiritual* (Mature in Christ) needs CONSISTENCY.
The question is not: Are you saved?
👉 The question is: Are you GROWING?
*THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS HERE, NOW. RIGHTEOUSNESS, PEACE, & JOY IN THE HOLY SPIRIT, THAT'S THE KINGDOM OF GOD. ENJOY IT TODAY*
One of the greatest theological errors of our generation is the assumption that because salvation is eternal, it is therefore irreversible regardless of a person's response to Christ.
That conclusion does not arise from the whole counsel of Scripture; *it arises from confusing the nature of the gift with the responsibility of the recipient.*
IF SOMEONE GIFTS YOU LAND/PROPERTY FOR EXAMPLE, IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO MAINTAIN/PROTECT IT OTHERWISE YOU MAY LOSE IT.
Jesus Christ died for the salvation of the whole world (John 3:16; 1 John 2:2), yet the entire world is not automatically saved.
*Why?* Because God's grace must be personally received.
*Scripture is clear:* "If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved" (Romans 10:9–10).
*The atonement is sufficient for all, but it is only effective in those who believe.*
The biblical message is not "Once Saved, Always Saved." It is 'He who endures to the end shall be saved" (Matthew 24:13).
*ONCE SAVED, ALWAYS SAVED? That's a question alot of people have gotten the answer wrong.*
Eternal life speaks of the quality and source of the life God gives—it comes from the Eternal God. It does not mean that God forces a believer to remain in covenant against his will.
*Love never compels; it invites.*
*Grace enables; it does not enslave.*
_This is why the New Testament is filled with solemn warnings to believers:_
1. Jesus warned that branches in Him that fail to abide are cut off (John 15:1–6).
2. Paul warned believers to continue in God's kindness, otherwise they too could be cut off (Romans 11:20–22).
3. The writer of Hebrews warns against falling away after receiving the knowledge of the truth, making it impossible to be brought back to repentance. (Hebrews 6:4–6; 10:26–29).
4. Peter describes those who escaped the corruption of the world through Christ but became entangled again, concluding that their latter end was worse than the beginning (2 Peter 2:20–22).
*These are not warnings to unbelievers. They are warnings to believers.*
If apostasy were impossible, these passages would become meaningless.
*APOSTASY describes a complete turning away from God by someone who previously professed to believe in Jesus Christ.*
God does not fill His Word with imaginary dangers. Every warning in Scripture carries real significance.
The doctrines of God follow a logical and true sequence, locking together like a picture puzzle to comprise the true gospel.
The announcement of "good news"—the very best news that could be heard today—which the Father gave through Jesus Christ, was about His Kingdom being established on earth.
What gospel we learn is vitally important! We need to be sure that the one we learn is the true gospel Christ brought, the revelation of the imminent Kingdom of God.
Paul's warning about false gospels should give us the proper perspective: "But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed!" (Galatians 1:8).
*"Once Saved, Always Saved" CANNOT STAND THE TEST OF SCRIPTURE because ....ETERNAL LIFE IS NOT EVERLASTING PERMISSION: Eternal is NOT THE SAME AS Everlasting!*
_Now consider this carefully:_
If a man can reject salvation before receiving it, what biblical or logical principle says he loses the ability to reject Christ after receiving it?
*Has salvation destroyed his free will, or has grace suddenly become coercion?* Scripture teaches neither.
The security of the believer is not found in a past decision but in a present relationship with Christ.
God is faithful to preserve those who abide in Him, but He never removes man's responsibility to continue in faith. This is why believers are repeatedly commanded to endure, remain, continue, hold fast, and persevere.
The biblical message is not "Once Saved, Always Saved." It is 'He who endures to the end shall be saved" (Matthew 24:13).
*Salvation is by grace alone through faith alone, but the faith that saves is a faith that continues to trust Christ.*
A believer is eternally secure in Christ, not independent of Christ.
The question has never been whether Christ is able to keep us—He is. *The question is whether a believer can knowingly and persistently reject the One who saved him.*
The New Testament repeatedly answers that question with sober warnings. Do not mistake God's faithfulness for the impossibility of human rebellion.
*The God who saves does not cease to respect the freedom He created. His grace is irresistible only to those who continue to yield to it.*
