CIC52: CELEBRITY IN CHRIST EPISODE 52.
TOPIC: *APOSTLE PAUL'S "THORN IN MY FLESH" WERE PEOPLE SENT BY SATAN TO PERSECUTE HIM*
Most people misinterpret the Bible thinking that PAUL'S thorn in the flesh was a physical infirmity that was never healed. However, according to the 3 bible verses below, it referred to something else.
*Judges 2 vs 3* says "Therefore I also said, 'I will not drive them out before you; but they shall be *thorns in your side,* and their gods shall be a snare to you."
*Joshua 23 vs 13* says "know for a certainty that the LORD your God will no more drive out any of these nations from before you; but they shall be snares and traps unto you, and scourges in your sides, and *thorns in your eyes,* until ye perish from off this good land which the LORD your God hath given you."
*Numbers 33 vs 55* warns that if the Israelites fail to drive out the inhabitants of the land, those they leave behind will become "pricks in your eyes and *thorns in your sides"* and cause trouble.
So, according to the 3 bible verses above, the thorn in the flesh were people sent and used my Satan to persecute the righteous.
*THIS WAS A COMMON SAYING IN THE OLD TESTAMENT.* (Thorn in the flesh, thorn in the eyes, thorn in the sides all mean the same thing)
*2 Corinthians 12 vs 7-10* reads *7* And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.
*8* For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.
*9* And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
*10* Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
