TOPIC: *MODESTY IN DRESSING*
How then can you claim to be God's temple when you dress like a shrine of LUST?
Would Jesus Christ wear what you're wearing now?
Would the Holy Spirit feel at home in a body wrapped in INDECENCY?
Even unbelievers, yes, those without the spirit still recognise that some outfits are inappropriate. Some Muslims, Hindus, and even atheists have more moral caution in their dressing than so-called Christians.
That should terrify you! When the world has more decency than the church, we are no longer "Salt and Light." We are "Spoiled and Dimmed".
For the same God who looks at the heart is the one who wrote, "Women should adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shame facedness and sobriety. *1st Timothy 2:9*
If God didn't care about what you wear, he wouldn't have spoken so clearly about it.
Christianity is NOT just in your heart. It's in your eyes, in your lips, in your walk, in your talk, and yes *IN YOUR WARDROBE* that is, what you wear.
The one who is Born Again is clothed in HUMILITY, wrapped in MODESTY, and sealed with REVERENCE.
*THE BODY IS NOT A BILLBOARD FOR THE FLESH, IT IS THE TEMPLE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT*
So if the dresscode of your church allows inappropriate dressing then maybe you're in a CULT, not CHURCH. Leading you AWAY FROM JESUS instead of TOWARDS JESUS. Read 1st Corinthians 6:19.
We must go back to Jesus. We must obey Biblical teachings and Traditions. We must be Born Again. *WE MUST PUT GOD FIRST IN ALL THINGS*
Put in "Faith and Work" to achieve Righteousness and Holiness in Christ Jesus with the help of the Holy Spirit. Parents must pray for their children, teach God’s word at home, and live by example.
