TOPIC: *IF YOU DONT PRAY AT NIGHT, YOU BECOME A "PREY" TO THE DEVIL AT NIGHT*
*What is a PREY?* _An animal that is caught and killed by another for food._ A Prize!
*Matthew 13:25* says, "But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way".
* The field represents the world
* The good seeds represent the children of the kingdom
* The tares represent the children of the wicked one
* The enemy who sowed the tares is the devil
* The harvest represents the end of the age
* The reapers represent the angels
The farmer in the parable waits for the wheat and weeds to grow together instead of uprooting the weeds, which could damage the wheat.
*CHRISTIANS CAN BE SPIRITUALLY WEAK OR STRONG. CHOOSE FOR YOURSELF*
The devil wants us to be spiritually weak. And how do we become spiritually weak? When we neglect Prayer, Fasting, and MEDITATION on the word of God. Those are the 3 disciplines we spoke about at the begins of this gospel series.
It's up to you to build your spiritual life. Put on the whole armour of God. *YOU CAN EITHER BE A VICTIM, OR A VICTOR!* Your Choice. *YOU CAN BE VICTORIOUS IN CHRIST*
The same Jesus Christ who had all the authority and power would retreat to a quiet place to pray. Often fasting aswell, as if he needed more power. *SO WE TOO MUST FAST AND PRAY REGULARLY*
Luke 6:12 describes Jesus going up a mountain to pray and spending the night in prayer. *HE WAS TEACHING US HOW TO LIVE*
Jesus is our Blueprint. NOT A PASTOR, PROPHET, SPIPITIAL FATHER, GENERAL OVERSEER etc. These people NEVER DIED FOR US. We follow Jesus. So make prayer, both day and night, an active part of your walk in Christ.
