CIC30: Music and its incredible Power
*Worldly or Secular* music has the power to invite evil spirits, while *Gospel or Sacred* music has the power to chase demons or evil spirits away.

CIC30: *Celebrity In Christ Episode 30*
TOPIC: *Music and its incredible Power*

Music has incredible power. Just a few notes and it could take you back yesteryears. A song on the radio can lift your mood and make you wanna dance.

*But have you ever stopped to think about where some of this music is coming from and what are its spiritual effects?*

There are spiritual forces at work behind much of today's secular music. You need to be able to discern what is *helpful* and what is *harmful*

Music is one of the few things that affect the soul deeply. No music leaves a person neutral. You either love it or not. This is why there's music you listen to that'll make you sad. While others would make you hyperactive.

Each of these kinds of music has that power because there's an influence behind it. For secular or worldly music, Satan spreads his anointing (demons) on it.

What he simply does is to get into agreement with the music stars so that once they have signed deals with record labels, satan then dispatches evil spirits that accompany those sound waves.

So when you keep listening to the music over and over again, those spirits bring into existence those things that are said in the music.

*MUSIC WORKS EXACTLY LIKE PRAYERS*

As you keep repeating the lyrics, you're in essence, reciting a prayer through a confession. If you keep singing a song about a bad relationship, then you are likely to experience those misfortunes.

If you keep playing a song that glorifies violence, you will find yourself getting angry more frequently. *This is because spirits also have the ability to travel through sound waves.* Read 1 Samuel 16: 14-23.

*Worldly or Secular* music has the power to invite evil spirits, while *Gospel or Sacred* music has the power to chase demons or evil spirits away.

In *1 Samuel 16:23,* David plays the harp to soothe King Saul's troubled spirit. Whenever an "evil spirit" from God would come upon Saul, causing him distress, David would play the harp, and Saul would feel relief, and the spirit would depart.

This demonstrates the therapeutic power of music and foreshadows David's future role as a psalmist and leader.

*IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR A BELIEVER TO BE ON FIRE FOR GOD WHEN THEY LISTEN TO OR SING WORLDLY/SECULAR MUSIC.*
