Today, we live in a world designed to break our focus on God. Social media, endless entertainment, and constant notifications are modern tools of an ancient strategy. *TO KEEP US SPIRITUALLY ASLEEP*
Technology that is supposed to be a tool is now a TRAP! Jesus warned us about this in the parable of the sower.
*Matthew 13:22* says, "As for what was sown among thorns, this is the one who hears the word, but the cares of the world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and it proves unfruitful".
The word of God can be planted in your heart, but if distractions are constantly pulling you in different directions, your faith won't grow.
*THIS IS WHY SO MANY BELIEVERS STRUGGLE TO FEEL CLOSE TO GOD*
God hasn't left them, but their attention has been stolen. The enemy understands something alot of Christians overlook, what CAPTURES YOUR ATTENTION, CAPTURES YOUR HEART.
That's why his goal isn't just to tempt you with sin. It is to keep your mind too busy for God. *BUSY DOING NOTHING*!
One of the devil's favourites tactics is busyness disguised as productivity.
He will use entertainment, worries, even good things like work or ministry or other acts of service to keep you distracted from what really matters.
*TO KEEP YOU FROM SEEKING THE PRESENCE OF GOD*
The more distracted you are, the less time you have for prayer, the Word, and intimacy with Jesus.
*SO WHAT DO WE DO NOW?*
First, recognise that distraction is not just a personal struggle but a spiritual strategy. The Devil wins when we don't even realise that we're in a battle.
The devil knows that if he can't turn you away from God, he can keep your schedule busy so there's no room for God. *THAT'S WHY YOU HAVE TO ALWAYS PUT GOD FIRST*
The Bible warns in *Matthew 6:24* “No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and be enslaved to money.
*THE ENEMY WILL USE EVEN GOOD THINGS TO KEEP YOU TOO BUSY FOR THE BEST THING, WHICH IS TIME WITH GOD*
Another strategy of the enemy is constant noise. There's always something demanding our attention, *BUT GOOD OFTEN SPEAKS IN STILLNESS*
To hear God clearly be *Silent & Still* . Silence means *removing outer distractions* like your Phone, Social Media, Entertainment, etc.*Stillness* is the quieting of your *Soul* .
The Soul is quieted through Worship, The Word & Prayer.
